Osama Mohamed PowerPoint Report (Crane)

On Wednesday April 28th 2010 my classmate Osama Mohamed his ID H00128278 did his power point presentation, which presentation about crane technology. In this report I will evaluate and discuss his power point presentation.

First of all, I will talk about the presentation style .The first point to consider Osama started his presentation by introducing his topic by carne in burj Khalifa and he gave us brief idea about crane. Osama was self conference and he had enough eye contact when he presented his presentation. When Osama started to preformed his presentation he stood Next to the smart bored and used a note when he explains his points readily, but he explained some pictures by using his hand in to the bored. Osama spoke clearly and his voice was audible to all. Osama presentation not organized because he adds some headline in the contents and he didn’t talk about it also when he explained the quality he talk only about the wires and he didn’t talk about the body or gave us a pitcher of the change of it. Moreover Osama used different bullets in the outline. Although Osama not organized his presentation but he was confident and explained his points in a clear manner.

In this part I will discuss Osama his PowerPoint presentation style. Osama power point slides were well colored and he balances the colors between the light and the dark colors. The text size was good and his slides had a lot of with space and he had some grammar mistake. In the visuals side there was some image was not clear and the video which he want to showed it to us didn’t work. Regarding to Osama his animations and transitions in his presentation had good effect and he moved had nice effect when he moved from side to another.

All in all, Osama gave us grant presentation with some mistake and he is good speaker and he can handle any problem faced it. Moreover he deserved the grade which Mr. Paul gave it him.

In week fifteen, in the begging of the class Mr. Paul asked to resaved for us the report which about and presentation. Then student stared to gave them presentation we took a long time because our class about 25 student. . In the next day (Thursday), Hamad Al Khiali gave us his presentation which was so bad and terrible. Mr. Paul criticized a lot and he got only 70 % and he deserved this mark and it was the lowest mark in the class.

In week fourteen, at the beginning of this week nobody was ready and all of us were upset. We started to discuss with Mr. Paul some subject and it was interesting discus with him and he had a lot of information about each subject we took with him. In the next day, I and some student were ready to give our presentation. I gave my presentation and I got 89 % and I was happy with my mark.

In week thirteen, it the week which must the student gave them presentation. Some of the student was ready to the presented their presentation, Abdullrahman Nabel was the first one how gave us his presentation which was about the GPS and he gave us interesting presentation. Then Butti Saeed gave us his presentation which was about the printer and he included funny video about printer. On Thursday, also we had some student presented them presentation and we had a breakfast in the class with Mr. Paul.

In week twelve, in the first of the class Mr. Paul started to discuss with us the meeting marks with each group and why they deserve this marks. Later on Mr. Paul showed us how the presentation Assessed and marked. In addition my Mr. Paul requested for the student’s short presentation dream vacation for the next day also he asked us if anyone can present his 25 % presentation. In the next day some student gave some presentation evaluated the presentation and we got benefitted from his note for our work.

In week ten, Mr. Paul explained to us how to make presentations, and he show us some sample form the internet, and he gave us idea about given prefect presentations. Later we moved to our boring book and solved chapter three. On the next day we had long chat with Mr. Paul then we jumped to the book and finished chapter three. I addition Mr. Paul ask us to work in the presentations during the next week.

Meeting Report

Our meeting was about changing the HCT system from a semester system to a credit system. This meeting had five items and was at 8:30 on 17th March in J33. The whole group attended J33 on time and the meeting was regular.

The chair man Osama opened the meeting, and introduced the subjects and allocated each item for two minute because of the Lack of time. The duration of the meeting was 15 minutes only and then he asked Jaber to explain the graph which he gave it to us. Then we talked about each item and started with the time table. The time section and course section got agreement but the weekend lessons saw different opinions. Later the group moved to the second item which was courses and the whole group agreed with students’ right to drop courses but did not about availability. In addition, the group talked about attendance, in particular missed classes and we placed conditions being if students provide a reasonable excuse. A further point was English courses and the group agreed with this item and the points, and related some answers to the survey conducted among the college. This showed that of the 50 people interview in a cross- section of students and Faculty, around 80% was in favor of a change to a credit system. Finally the meeting moved to last item, which was summer courses and discussed the benefit of summer courses and agree on this item.

In addition this meeting saw different opinions expressed on each item, and everyone freely offered a range of points of view for consideration. Moreover one of the groups based the Emiratis Student and this was not acceptable. However, it would have been better if we had more time as we discussed some points rather quickly.

In week nine, first we solved chapter two in the book, my group and I we did the meeting and it was amazing and the meeting was work according to what we planned to it, my Paul was too happy about our meeting. The next days we talk about the dream vacation the Mr. Paul ask each student about ask his classmate about his dream vacation and presented his classmate , it was funny each student had different opinions about his dream vacation.

In week eight , Mr. Paul started new chapter in the book, and he got the agenda form the student , the day after the student started to do the meeting , my group and I we were ready for the , the first group started the meeting , and they were prefect , and they finished the meeting Mr. Paul commented they meeting and we got benefited from the comment , then the second meeting started then meeting Mr. Paul commented they meeting and we got benefited from them also.

In week seven, my Group and I we were preparing for our meeting. We did the agenda and the survey. Then we sent it to Mr. Grant, I thought that we sent the agenda and the survey many time to Mr. Grant because of the silly mistake. Later on my group and I we did practice for the meeting. Next day Mr. Grant asked the students to see one of meeting. Nobody wanted because they were not ready. But he picked any group and it was Ali’s group. Actually we took the comment which he told about Ali group and we avoided some mistake.

In week six in N101 course Mr. Grant shows us how running meeting. Then he told us the main steps to do meeting and told us how to avoid mistakes in the meeting, the he showed us some examples video form YouTube how to do meeting. Then the class sort to group and each group choose subject. My group decided to choose change the change HCT system from semester's system to credit system. It was new idea and no one took it before. In addition after my group choose the subject we did the agenda and survey to see the opinion of the lecturers and the student about changing the system of the college. When we did the survey we baptized into the class Mr. Grant and took his opinion about our subject.

In week five, the class started gave presentation about is motto and I was amazing because each student told about his motto and how it change his life and they gave short story later. On Tuesday Mr. Roger our supervisor came to the class and he saw how the class work, then Mr. Paul gave us survey to did it in the class also Mr. Paul gave us idea about how we did meeting .

In week four, Mr. Paul we started to work on the book and finished chapter one and we solved some question in the book, later Mr. Paul asked every student to note his motto that can changed his life and did short presentation for the next class. The next day Mr. Paul didn’t attend the class the whole class decided to back home because it was weekend.

Week three was shot in N101 course we took only one class because Mr. Paul had IELTS exam, actually we were very happy because wouldn’t come to the college on Thursday. In Wednesday Mr. Paul gave us the book of the course and he decided to post our log in blogger, In addition we had a discussion about mottos. Also because Mr. Paul he wouldn’t came on Thursday he gave some work to do it.

In week two it was the first class of 101 course . We meet Mr. Grant he introduces for us the course it interesting course which depend on speaking and doing presentation, also last week Mr. Grant gave us the book of the course. In this week the Mr. Grant he started to teach us for the new book and he took our opinion about this new book. Also we did every student presents his friend to the class. Also Mr. Grant cost us of doing log.
